I recently purchased a 1984 Porsche 928S that had severe deferred maintenance issues. Garrity got it in quickly and addressed the critical issues. While the final bill was not close to the original estimate the problems couldn’t be seen with the initial inspection, I was contacted for approval of the additional work. The labor was reasonable and the parts prices were lower than the sources generally available for retail purchases. I had an opportunity to inspect the work in progress and the quality of the work was excellent.

I recommend Motorsports for any Porsche work and particularly for 928’s.

Garrity is pure magic. He turned my car into a pleasure to drive. I drove 6 hours to have him work on my car. He’s knowledge is above par.

Motorsport is an excellent independent Porsche specialist. I found them searching for a place to do a pre-purchase inspection on an air cooled Porsche 993. The owner, Garrity, was very thorough and knows these cars well. After buying the car I have used the shop for many changes and upgrades I have done to the car. Everything is done very quickly and at a fair price. I feel like I can trust this shop to take great care of my classic 911s. The best thing is that everyone here treats me like family. I would highly recommend them if you own a Porsche. Very knowledgeable, honest, fair prices and quick turnarounds. Look no further for a Porsche shop near SLC!

If you have a a Porsche, Motorsport where you need to go. The owner is a mechanical engineer who has been working on Porsches for 20 plus years, and really knows the cars.

Additionally he is very willing to help. I was recently on a cross-country trip and developed cooling issues in Nevada. The car was trucked to Salt Lake City on a Sunday; I called him on Monday morning, he had me bring the car in right away, put it in front of others, and had me on the road by the end of the day — totally fixed. It lost no water at all, and maintained a constant water temperature throughout the remainder of the trip. Excellent plus!

I absolutely recommend Motorsport for all your Porsche needs. I bought an early water cooled 996. Motorsport replaced the ims and rms bearings with ceramic ones. Clutch was also done. Also, a few cosmetic items were fixed.

Garrity, the owner and lead mechanic knows these cars inside and out, and services them at a fair price, less than the dealerships for sure.

Great staff. In particular, would like to thank Dave And Jacque for their help.
