  • Upon reading reviews from previous customers of Eurohaus Motor Sports, I wanted to interject my opinion and clarify the negative reviews. My 1987 Ferrari Testarossa was delivered back to me ten months from the initial date that I brought it in for major engine restoration. Originally, I brought this car in for an alternator installation and rear wheel bearings and was told it would be ready for me to pick up in three weeks. Robert Berry pointed out other issues such as leaking oil and performed a compression test which showed that it was not firing on a couple of cylinders and had low compression on a couple of other cylinders. All of what he had pointed out to me were immediate issues and some which would have caused problems down the road. Since the engine had to be pulled out anyway, I agreed to have these problems fixed now as it would save me money in the long run in having again to pull the engine to fix these inevitable problems. I decided to go for a full engine restoration therefore paid for the work in various stages until I was paid in full. I still did not see results for another six months after paying in full which irritated me even more. I heard the same thing that I read from other reviews. “I am trying to do a perfect job for you.” I was angry and nervous, thinking that I was another victim and would be ripped off. Although the cost was almost the price of a new American car, it wasn’t the money that I was out of that upset me, I wanted my car. When I received my car, I want to say that it was no less than perfect and was more than I expected and hoped for. Robert Berry took the time to replace all parts needed with OEM parts and assembled the engine perfectly. It is fair to say that it was put together meticulously and better than original factory. This is a car that notoriously leaked oil when brand new and now does not leak a drop even after running it through the limits. Robert Berry fixed other things that he saw along the way at no charge. This would not be the case if I had brought it to a Ferrari dealership. Minor things would have been ignored and the cost would have been greater. Robert Berry took interest in this project as if it were his car, delivering a completely restored engine as if it came out of the show room.

    I admit that I was nervous and thought that ten months was excessive, but taking into consideration that parts for this model are not easy to find, it was reasonable considering the outcome. Any major restoration is lengthy for any antique and a customer should realize this. It is the outcome that determines whether it was worth the while within reason. The only issue at Eurohaus is that Robert Berry is the only one who works on these projects due to his expertise. Although he has good mechanics for Porsches or BMWs, which is main stream at Eurohaus, he does not have the time to cross train them for restoration work of my nature or examples of other reviews. They are needed for other day to day work for cars which customers need as their daily drivers. Consequently Robert Berry does all of this type of work which is actually a good thing.

    In my opinion, Robert Berry is on the top of his field and is second to none as a mechanic and one that will not overlook an issue that is not on the order. If you have a major restoration job and your car is not a daily driver, I would strongly recommend Robert Berry. It will be worth the time it takes to receive a perfect outcome. I am not an easy customer to work with however I would do it again knowing the quality of work and expertise at Eurohaus Motor Sports.

  • Robert and the staff are amazing here. This is my second BMW and their service and expertise is second to none. Not only are they amazing but they don't charge an arm and leg like the other repair shops. Highly recommend.

  • I have been a satisfied customer of Robert Berry, owner of Eurohaus Motorsports, for a few years now. For me, it was refreshing to find someone so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, who took the time to get to know me and develop a genuine interest in the health of my cars. Robert will explain the problem, offer solutions, and provide honest advice on what needs attention and what doesn't, never trying to over-sell his services or pushing "repairs" that are not needed. The services and support received have always been top-notch, with no post service issues what so ever. He does it right the first time.

    For anyone who tracks their car, whether for fun or competition, you must pay Robert a visit. Robert has extensive experience tuning for some of the top national racing teams, as well as grassroots level racers. Personally, Robert's advice on suspension set-up and tire pressures have yielded increased enjoyment and satisfaction on the track.

  • I've been taking my Mercedes to him for years. Robert took great care of my older car and always at a reasonable price. He was even very helpful when I started looking for a new car, even checking a few out for me when I brought them to him, even really late on a Friday. I now have a newer Mercedes and he has been great working on this car. He is always reasonable/fair in price and great at providing all the options when I'm short on cash. I'm very picky about who works on my car and have always been pleased with Robert and his staff. I will not take my car to anyone else. I once had my older car towed over 100 miles to get it back to Robert at his shop.

  • Robert is an excellent and gifted mechanic. I have known him since 2007 and he is the only mechanic I allow to work on my Porsche. In addition to being a great mechanic, I have personally seen him go out of his way to help others at his own cost. He's good people!

  • I moved from Columbus, Ohio. Was looking for BMW place. I went to a couple places, one was a BMW dealer at Turkey Creek which had very bad service. Then I found EuroHaus from looking online. I met Robert, he is the owner. Love how his customer service was very friendly and his price was GREAT!! I have a guy at Columbus who took care of my BMW forever. Robert was right on the price and great at taking care of my car. He fixed the problem on the first time and NEVER went again; all problems were fixed. He will go miles to make you happy. Will pick you up from home or will drive you home !! HE HAS GREAT TEAM. They are very friendly and helpful !!!

  • Five BIG Stars! Robert Berry's EuroHaus MotorSports is responsible for putting my 1988 Porsche 951 Turbo S back on the road --and keeping it on the road since October 15th, 2009. I only drive the damn thing. I have no clue how Robert keeps this little miracle running.

    Robert Berry rebuilt the engine, replaced the clutch, along with a few minor improvements over the last seven years (being able to adjust the drivers seat or roll down the passenger side window for example). For those keeping score, Mark Johnson (a.k.a. Marcos de Ninguna Parte) can be counted among Robert Berry's very very happy customers.

    If you disagree with my honest review, you will not be counted among my "ever shrinking" circle of friends. Take that!

  • Robert is the best import mechanic in Knoxville! If you drive German cars...he is the guy! I have taken my Minis to him for 5yrs and he has always given me the best service, best treatment and best price!!! You can't get a better price. He is fair, accommodating and honest. I always trust him; his recommendations are spot on and he saved me a lot of money by being so honest. That's why I never took any of my Minis anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  • What I like with EuroHaus MotorSports is that they’re straight forward to talk with. You can talk to the mechanic. They are quite responsive, and it just seems to be a direct outlet to deal with. They’re straight forward to schedule with, and even offered to transport us home, since it was going to be awhile. They’re better price-wise, than the dealer.

  • Hey Folks; I received Tyler's voice message asking how the BMW was holding up after the head gasket job. I'm happy to report that all appears to be well. I'm afraid to say more than that because I don't want to put any bad mojo on her. I remember the last time I got to thinking how well the car was running; about five minutes later, the head gasket blew.

    Appreciate the professionalism of a follow up call. Can't say as I've ever had an auto repair facility do that before. Good for you. It shows you have confidence in the work you do.

  • Thanks Robert for getting us back on the road on the cross country trip. The carbs are holding and....I'm not sure where the coil is! LOL! Seriously though, we would have been s-c-r-e-w-e-d without your help both times. For those of you reading this, we picked up a 1970 914 in San Diego and are in process of driving it back to PA. The carbs were out of sync and we found EuroHaus on Google and Robert dropped everything to help us out. THEN, we left and the coil fell off and grounded out the motor in the backwoods at the bottom of the Dragon. Robert once again came to our rescue and got us going again. We are son dense we didn't even see the coil laying there in our mad hunt for fuel problems. LOL. We are in Richmond VA and 4 hrs from home and the car is running tops!! Unbelieveable trip of a lifetime and thanks to EuroHaus making helping us finish it out.

  • Just bought a 2007 MINI Cooper S and took it for an oil change and a inspection before a long trip. Everyone couldn't have been nicer!! They answered all my questions and I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a MINI!! I drove from the Chattanooga area, and it was well worth it.

  • I waited years to purchase my dream car, a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera. In retrospect I should have paid for an inspection as the car developed serious engine problems almost immediately. I went looking for someone that could make my Porsche the car I had hoped it would be and happen to stumble onto Robert Berry and Eurohaus. Robert seemed to understand my unfortunate situation and I think he genuinely felt bad that I had gotten ripped off as the car was seriously misrepresented. Robert took the time to methodically rebuild the 911 engine and transmission. He even let me hang out at the shop during a lot of the work and provided me with a crash course in 911 engine rebuilding. My Porsche is now good as new and ready to be enjoyed. I will now not trust anyone other than Robert to work on my car. He goes the extra mile to provide unmatched service and expertise.

    Robert has been working with me on my vintage Porsche 944’s for about 5 years….over that time on the 1983 944 he has rebuilt the engine, replaced the clutch, replaced the synchro’s, repaired the CV joints, replaced the motor mounts and upgraded the bushings. All work was done expertly and for very reasonable prices. Any follow-up issues to the repairs were dealt with in relatively short order and I am particular…a bit of a perfectionist in all honesty. On the engine rebuild two other shops told me to scrap the car…that the effort/cost to rebuild was not worth it…Robert’s view was the complete opposite…he took the time to thoroughly inspect and diagnose the car….aside from cracked rings and a few leaks he found the car to be in excellent shape and offered to rebuild the engine for far less than the others were proposing so he made it economically worthwhile…today that car is worth far more than the cost to rebuild the engine was and I use it daily…it has never run better. During this time period Robert also helped arrange for the sale of a customer’s 911 turbo to my son. This transaction went smoothly and my son bought a rare car in excellent shape for a very fair price…and Robert took nothing to help make the deal happen…Robert is always willing to chip in and help his customers with special things like this.

    More recently, I acquired a Porsche 944 turbo with assistance from Robert…a customer of his was interested in selling the vehicle that was not running at the time and missing some essential components…Robert worked out a way for me to buy the car and he provided me assurances the car would be fixed perfectly back into running order with absolutely no leaks or issues for reasonable price. Based upon these assurances from Robert I decide to acquire the car. Six months later I could not be happier: the turbo 944 runs better than I could ever have imagined…Robert and I collaborated on the project to locate all the missing parts and I decided to have all the seals, gaskets, hoses and belts replaced as part of the reassembly to ensure a solid running vehicle. We also agreed on installing some important performance upgrades, rebuilt the turbo and modified the boost system. Many electrical improvements were also installed on the car. I personally performed a lot of the repair work under Robert’s tutelage and also received help from Robert’s skilled team of mechanics addressing some of the most complex repairs. Under this collaborative but inexpensive arrangement, it was a struggle at times to get lift time given how busy Eurohaus typically is and also to get Robert’s direct involvement but I always knew Robert possessed the tools and skills and experience necessary to help me or his mechanics fix virtually any issue with this classic Porsche. I can’t think of another shop that would have worked as closely with me on a project car like this or that could have helped me get it to the finish line like Robert and the Eurohaus team have. Robert is by far the most experienced and hands on Porsche mechanic I have ever run across in my 34 years of owning a Porsche. His attention to detail is second to none and Robert tries hard to only hire other skilled mechanics with whom he feels he can train to pay the same attention to detail he does and to learn to diagnose a car rather than just be parts replacers.

    Roberts biggest challenge is time management…Robert wants to provide personal attention to the repairs…especially on the older exotics and because of his expertise and constant backlog of cars to work on, he often is stretched very thin. This issue tends not to impact newer cars like the many BMW’s and Mini’s his team works on because those repairs don’t rely as much on Robert’s unique skills…but the older exotics are almost exclusively Robert’s domain…and for good reason…he knows how to fix those cars right and can put them back to factory stock shape right down to using the correct factory fasteners and their orientation on the car. I would say it would be reasonable to expect significant repairs on the older cars to take several months at Eurohaus…maybe upwards of 6 months…regardless of how fast Robert would like to get the car done, other priorities always come up and slow progress…and parts are often a challenge on the older cars as well….investigating availability across several suppliers often slows progress on these repairs and consumes more of Robert’s time than one might expect. So, if you can wait, you can expect a well repaired car done at reasonable prices with more attention to detail than you’re likely to get elsewhere…but if you are in a hurry or you press Robert too hard, things will not go well….Robert has a way of “ignoring” vehicles where the owners are belligerent, unrealistic in their demands or too pushy. Since the older exotic cars tend not to be daily drivers, the extended timeframe for these kinds of extensive repairs should not be an issue for most customers….but if you are in a hurry to get an older exotic back on the road, I would not use Eurohaus…that is not what they do best.

    I have learned so much working on these cars side by side with Robert that I consider it a privilege to learn from him and the Eurohaus team…I know, despite what you may read on the internet or see on TV, many other exotic car aficionados feel the same way…it is not uncommon to see cars being shipped in for Robert to repair from Florida or Texas or Georgia… folks all around the country appreciate the quality service Robert and his team at Eurohaus provide…I consider myself very lucky to have found Eurohaus and Robert Berry. I have two Porsche 944’s running perfectly that would probably have been in the scrap heap without his services. I believe we in East Tennessee are fortunate to have Robert and Eurohaus close by.

    Did this really happen to me?

    This week, I purchased a 968 in Florida and drove it north. Broke down south of Nashville. Stranded, I grab a hotel, google Porsche repair shops and randomly choose EuroHaus Motorsports in Knoxville. Call them in the morning and explain my situation: " I'm from San Diego, bought a 968 in South Florida, broke down driving to Chicago, can you work on a 968?".

    2000 miles from home, broken Porsche, I am prepared for a long, expensive couple of days. I'm doomed. I am going to get taken to the cleaners.

    Expecting to hear it would be a day or two to look at, I get "Bring it in, we can fix it. You'll be in good hands". Two hours later and a 160 mile tow, I'm standing in front of Robert Berry explaining what happened with the car. Robert stops me mid-sentence, "I know what it is. You know why I know....?".

    It was fascinating.

    Because the local Porsche dealer doesn't have the needed part, Robert takes a part from another Porsche in the shop and in just over an hour , I'm reaching into my pocket for my credit card.

    Robert goes, "You don't owe me anything".

    With a hand shake, I'm on my way.

    Two hours later I get a text from Robert checking on the car.

    Over 25 years, I've owned 6 Porsches serviced in 5 states.

    I have finally found an expert Porsche professional I can trust and a person for which I have a ton of respect .

    Robert, the next time my Porsche needs repair, it will be on a truck from San Diego to Knoxville.

    I had Robert fix a used 944 for me which half the switches were not working,a/c was not working etc. He went bumper to bumper on this car. I then drove it 65,000 miles before another repair was required. Good Mechanic.

    I live out of state and had Eurohaus conduct a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) on a Porsche I was buying. Their PPI was very thorough and the follow-up suspension, motor and brake work I had them complete was impeccable (and economical). I successfully made it back home in the Porsche they serviced and am very pleased with their work. And they even followed-up to ensure I made it home safely! Thanks go to Robert and all of his courteous and knowledgeable staff at Eurohaus. If you value customer service, responsiveness and accuracy – then take your car to Eurohaus.

    My Porsche 951 has not functioned since the last century, though not from lack of trying. A surprising number of (we will call them mechanics) believed they could get me up and running in "Two Weeks". The story always ended with my 951 coming back in more pieces than what we went in with.

    Thanks to the genius of Robert Berry's Euro Haus, it is up and running perfectly!

    I am still in shock.

    I have known Robert Berry for 5 years. I enjoy working on cars and prefer to do my own repairs whenever possible, but there are times when you need an expert and that's when I rely on Robert. He is extremely knowlegeable, very responsive, and truly cares about the service he provides. His shop is a 3 hour drive for me but I gladly make the trip when I need something done.

    I have known and trusted my Porsches' health to Robert Berry for 20+ years.

    He has always done expert work on my Street Cars and my Race Cars.

    Robert can be relied upon for his uncanny knowledge, skill and craftsmanship in the shop and at the race track.

    EuroHaus is a new and modern repair facility that I have yet to visit. However, I have received quality, professional service from the owner, Robert Berry, for the past 20 years. Robert has performed general maintenance and major repair/rebuild on my Porsche 911 and my old 914. The results have been great, performance has been enhanced, reliability increased, and the expense has been reasonable. The customer service I have received from Robert always exceeded my expectations. I don't look forward to needed repairs, but when something comes up, I'll be going to EuroHaus.
