I have been going to Carl's Place on and off for many years. The work they've done on my 2 porsche's has always been top-notch. I try and do basic's myself; as having them do it can get expensive quickly.

I'm the owner of Carl's Place 900 Series Motorsports Inc. and I feel compelled to comment on the review below. Jeff certainly wasn't happy with the results of his latest visit with us. Unfortunately I can only say that his experience was the exception and not the rule. Of course we are not perfect but in dealing with Porsches exclusively for more than 35 years and having over 3,000 past and present customers in our database we certainly must be an exceptional organization.
Please visit our website at www.900seriesm.com and call me personally at 702-876-7986 and I will be happy to address any concerns that you may have.

I took my '86 944 Turbo there 3 times...Three strikes and they're out.
1) Took it there due to oil pressure guage fluctuating madly - they replaced the oil sending unit which didn't correct the problem.
2) Took it in as I had a loud screeching on acceleration. Returned with a diagnosis of it being the turbo water pump that I am hearing. Brought it back the next day (taking time off from work again) after hearing what was NOT the water pump for turbo. A/C compressor was making the screeching noise. Got estimate for $1200 on repairing A/C. removed compressor clutch until a/c could be replaced.
3) Took it in for A/C repair along with installing new tires(I supplied) and fixing lighter port for GPS use. A/C repair was done for $1850 as they couldn't find my estimate(what?!?). Cigarette lighter was taken from dash(don't use the lighter, but it covered the hole in the dash!), car had been parked next to water hose, so it had water spots all over it, they had car for 3 weeks and couldn't get the tires mounted for me - kept it another 5 days before I told them I needed it back without tires mounted(so they had it for close to a month), and after picking it up, I found the intake rubber was loose from the AFM so it could suck trash past the air filter and the plug wire had been taken loose on 4th cylinder, so it ran like crap.
That was the final straw. I would tow my car 10,000 miles to a different shop to avoid Carl's. Tony seems to be a nice guy, but he and his clowns will never touch my car again...

I have been going to Carl's Place( 900seriesm.com) for 3 years now. I had a 2000 Boxster S that needed a 60k service done, along with custom needs like a litronic head light conversion, gt 2 steering wheel and new airbag ect.. they always performed amazing work that was done fast and at a fair price. I now own a 78 911 Targa that needed a full engine and transmission rebuild. I can't tell you what a positive experience it was dealing with Carls Place and the technician who did the rebuild. The car runs amazing and they guaranteed their work. They treat you like family when you are there and you are greeted by the 2 shop dogs (black labs) when you come into the place to visit. There is no other place I would bring my Porsche's than to Carls Place.
